Koepka 'could care less' about result in U.S. Open tune-up

Brooks Koepka was asked Wednesday about the state of his game heading into this weeks RBC Canadian Open.I dont know, he said. Ive not touched a club.Indeed, Koepka told reporters that Tuesday was the first time that hes swung a club since he captured his fourth career major title May 19 at Bethpage Black. Thats not unusual for Koepka hes taken similar breaks after his other triumphs, to recharge mentally and physically and it hasnt affected his performance.Im not too concerned with it, he said. From the nine holes I did play today, it seemed pretty good.

Koepka likes to play his way into major form he also teed it up at the AT&T Byron Nelson, the week before the PGA and isnt concerned about his results this week.I could care less what happens, he said. I just want to feel good going into next week. As long as I can leave feeling confident, striking the ball very well, starting it where I want to, finishing where I want to, hitting some good putts ... it doesnt matter if they do go in or not. I just want to feel confident leaving.Koepka has played the week before all four of his major victories, and he pointed to the fact that hes won back-to-back U.S. Opens despite finishing 30th or worse in each of his tune-up starts at the FedEx St. Jude Classic. The result doesnt really matter this week, he said. Its just how I feel Ive played. Am I hitting enough good shots and really finding a rhythm?Koepka has only played Pebble Beach once in competition in 2016, when he tied for eighth but the course is expected to play much differently in June than February.
